"Lauren Staley-Ferry charged with Felony in 2003 and never showed up for her court hearing"
Will County Board member Lawren Staley-Ferry was charged in 2003 with felony forgery and never appeared in court for the case. Now as she has just filed as a candidate for Will County Clerk this information has become unearthed.
The charges were filed in 2003 in Maricopa County, Arizona. Before the finalization of the charges, Staley-Ferry moved to Wisconsin. According to Maricopa County court documents, the charges alleged that Staley-Ferry had taken a check from her place of employment filling it out in her name without her employer's knowledge. Independent Captial Group then filled these charges in Scottsdale, Arizona in July of 2012.
Then in April 2013, a warrant was issued for Staley-Ferry's arrest as was stated by Amanda Jacinto, a spokesperson for the Maricopa County. By that time Staley-Ferry was back in Wisconsin.
She was then sent a summons to appear in court which she failed to do. Staley-Ferry said she did not know about the charges until she was already out of Arizona. The charges were dropped in 2012. Then in 2013, the warrant was filed.
Staley-Ferry was represented by an attorney and never did appear in court for this issue. Now 14 years later this information was released right before the clerk's race.

Coal City Man Charged in the murder of Kathy Kearns

Kathy Kearns 24 of Mokena was
Murdered Tuesday
JOLIET, IL - A 32-year-old man from Coal City who apparently has ties to the Outlaws Motorcycle club is now charged with felony offense of concealing a homicide. Jeremy Boshears of 495 East 3rd Street, in Coal City, was in Will County police custody for about a day in connection with the cold-blooded murder of  Kathy Kearns, who lived in Mokena. The two had recently started dating, the sheriff's department revealed.

As it stands, a $250,000 bond has been set for Boshears. He will remain in police retention until he can post $25,000 cash, which is 10 percent, to bail him out of jail. The felony charge, however, is not being filed in Will County, but instead by the Kankakee County State's Attorney's Office.

"This morning, Sheriff's detectives met with the Will County State's Attorney's Office and the Kankakee County State's Attorney's Office in order to determine probable cause ... for the arrest of Boshears," the Will County Sheriff's announced Friday afternoon.

A/C and Furnace giveaway in New Lenox from start to finish!

For weeks the teams prepared and worked to build a proper event. From flyers to tickets As the summer was well under way the team at RCM Heating & Cooling and the team at York by Johnson Controls worked avidly to set up a free furnace and air conditioner giveaway! As they worked to get this event put together a local event was coming up. Proud American Days in New Lenox was nearing. The two hardworking and focused crews thought, what a better way to do a giveaway than to raffle off a free furnace and A/C to a local veteran.
For weeks the teams prepared and worked to build a proper event. From flyers to tickets and much more! The teams worked for about 6 weeks to ensure they had the bases and the event came along well. As the day came to pull the winner you could smell the cone cakes, and curly fries as Bill and the team headed to pull the winner.
Bill took the stage and gave a speech to the crowd about veterans. Through his speech, he thanked the veterans for their service and talked about how honored RCM and York by Johnson Controls where to donate a unit to a veteran. Then came the fun of getting to pick a winner! As the winner was picked, much to our surprise out came….. Wade Krohn. As Bill called his name and Wade made his way to accepting the winning ticket and that is just where the story begins!
Who our winner turned out to be and why it touched us so deeply.
Wade Krohn a father and grandfather was a WWII veteran who served our country in a great time of need. After that, he served as at the New Lenox fire department for many years in New Lenox!  So not only did we get a great local Vet, but a public servant as well! We were very honored to provide such a great gift to such an amazing person!

Installation Day
On installation day we made it out to Wade Krohn’s home early. With his brand new furnace and A/C provided by York of Johnson Controls, we were ready to go. Our team spent the entire day with Wade getting to learn who he was as a person, and getting the opportunity to provide Wade with an amazing new system for FREE! Bill Ward the owner of RCM  Heating and Cooling stated “ Helping a veteran who fought for our nation is a great honor, as a whole RCM and York by Johnson Controls are equally proud here today! After a long full day, the system had been put in and the test was done! Congratulations Wade!

The push to legalize marijuana in Illinois still on

State rep Kelly Cassidy
(PS) The push to legalize marijuana in Illinois is still on the table in Illinois for the coming January sessions down state. With a growing crisis in Illinois, this would be one of the smartest moves law makers could make at this point in Illinois! State Representative Kelly Cassidy and state Senator Heather Stein both have authorized bill's on the table to legalize marijuana in Illinois!

"We are going to do it the way it makes the most seance" Stein stated, as the bill will be changed from what was introduced in March. There will be more regulatory guidelines and a proper tax structure implemented over the next few months. As the primarily liberal state is moving towards legalization there are still a lot of hoops to jump.

Illinois spends an estimated $200 Million a year fighting marijuana and we currently have an estimated 357,021 people unemployed. With figures like this, we need to find a solution. Believe it or not in only 10 years the savings from prosecution alone would take care of 10% of our outstanding debt. This is something Kassidy and Stein have both acknowledged. The state is in need of growth for the positive and with the current financial issues were nowhere near where we need to be.

State Senator Heather Stein
At this point, the projected tax revenue is over $350 Million and the state is in desperate need of the tax revenue and it's essential that we fix the gap some how. As one of the most progressive states in the US, we are in need of a change. If we do not bar the gap we will surely be headed towards a state wide bankruptcy in the next few years. Illinois has long been troubled with criminal law makers and corruption and we are drained. A law to legalize marijuana is a sure fire way to help balance out Illinois and reduce our spending at the same time.

Illinois currently has $15 Billion in unpaid bills and counting. As of Thursday law makers approved a $36 billion dollar budget including $8 Billion towards our unpaid debts. Adding $350 Million a year would be a great way to help balance us out state wide.

Jill Stein tied into the Trump and Russia meetings?

Jill Stein - Green Party candidate for President 2012 , 2016
What, Jill Stein has to do with Trump Jr.’s meeting last summer with the Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya is not very clear at all, as the Senate  Committee provided no context for its demands, which are to be honored by August 2, 2017. A request for an explanation to Stein’s former campaign manager remains unanswered and though she is active on Twitter, Stein has made no acknowledgment on that social media network of her name’s appearance in or is relevant to the Trump Jr. inquest.
None of this, of course, prevented some on Twitter from rejoicing at the idea that Stein was herself the subject of investigation. The joy is premature but understandable. Stein’s self-righteousness exasperated many supporters of Hillary, as did her portrayal of Clinton as effectively no better a choice for true liberals than Donald Trump himself. Some have blamed Stein for “spoiling” the election, doing for Clinton what her fellow progressive Ralph Nader had done 17 years before for to  Al Gore. Her demand for a recount—a demand for which she reaped $7 million in donations—struck some as a pointless publicity ploy.
Having been a supporter of Stein I do feel she did it to gain publicity but for a righteous cause. Though it may be another 100 years before an off party candidate wins the election Stein has paved the way in a sense for this opportunity. Jill Stein ran for president in 2012 and in 2016. Prior to those runs, she had run for governor in Massachusets in 2012 and again in 2010. We will follow this story as it builds!

Political insider claims Trump's presidency is 'effectively over'

Hours after three Republican senators including John McCain dealt a crushing blow to President Donald Trump's hopes of repealing Obamacare, at least one political operative claimed the Trump presidency "is effectively over."
Sen. Ted Cruz's former campaign manager Rick Tyler made the stunning declaration during an appearance on MSNBC's Morning Joe on Friday.
"I think this presidency is effectively over," Tyler told co-host Mika Brzezinski.
"If you look back to different presidencies, you look at Bill Clinton " he continued. "He had a rough first two years, very difficult two years. But after Oklahoma City he was able to regain his footing and become presidential until he slipped on a blue dress."
"But saying that aside, this president cannot change. Nothing about his behavior tells me, since the beginning of this process, that he was going to change," he added. "If he cannot change and he cannot become presidential and he cannot convince the majority of the American people to enact some legislative agenda that he wants passed, his presidency, legislatively, is effectively over."
